
Nicoló Bini, AIA is an architect, founder and president of LINE Inc., a successful
architectural practice and Binishells Inc. Based in Los Angeles, he has won a series of
awards for his retail, residential and fixture designs, was named one of the ‘Nine for ’09’
by Angeleno Magazine. Nic has been a long time collaborator with his father, Dr. Dante
Bini, having worked on projects such as the LUNAB, Nicospace, Self-forming Stadiums
for Japan, and co-authoring a number of papers with him. His work has been lauded by
internationally known retail analyst Paco Underhill and has been published in magazines
and newspapers such as The New York Times, House and Garden, Town and Country,
the San Francisco Chronicle, C magazine, Angeleno Magazine, LA Confidential and
Surface magazine and is featured in the book California Interiors. Italian by birth and
rearing, Nic has lived in Italy, Australia, the US and France, and has traveled to over 50
countries. Receiving his BA and MA from UC Berkeley, where he graduated as
valedictorian, Nic also studied at the University of London and the Univeristá della
Sapienza in Rome. He has taught as an Associate Professor at the California College of
the Arts in San Francisco, and as Professor at the Florence Art Institute in Florence,
Italy. Nic also lectures periodically at several colleges and universities. He has worked
professionally in France, England, Italy, Argentina, Mexico and the US. He is fluent in
Italian and English and is conversational in French and Spanish.
Nic has spear headed the re-development of the Binishells system and is CEO and
President of Binishells Inc. He leads the design team and has involvement in R&D.
